Printed Surfaces 2026
Digitally embossed wallcoverings with tactile relief up to 2mm. Full-colour printing and three-dimensional structure produced in a single pass. Printed on demand. Eco-responsible. Finished by hand when the project demands it.

A structural ink is printed alongside standard CMYK on a foamable substrate. When heat is applied, the areas without structural ink expand, creating tactile relief. The structure and the printed motif are produced in a single pass.

| Relief height | Up to 2mm |
| Print width | Up to 1.58m |
| Process | Single pass: CMYK + structural ink + heat |
| Structure control | Motif and embossing can match or contrast independently |
| Ink system | Water-based latex, low-odour |
| Post-processing | None required. Optional hand finishing available. |
3D tactile wallcoverings specified for interior environments where standard printed finishes fall short. Each application benefits from the combination of visual depth and physical texture.
Multiple media options with distinct surface properties. Each substrate responds differently to the embossing process, producing variations in texture sharpness, reflectivity, and tactile quality.

| Matte | Non-woven, bright white point. Accurate colour reproduction, contemporary register. |
| Pearl | Glossy pearlescent coating. Sharper embossing visibility, slight warm tint. |
| Suede | Rough textile appearance. Suited to concrete, fabric, and hand-painted effect designs. |
| Gold | Gold-coloured topcoat. Metallic surface effects in monochrome or full-colour. |
| Silver | Metallic silver surface. Highlighted with lighter and cooler tones. |
| High Resist | 200% improved scratch resistance. Suited to high-traffic commercial environments. |
| Textile-backed | Polyester backing for silicone edge graphics, canvases, and banners. |
| Fire Retardant | Class B fire resistance. Required for hospitality and commercial specification. |
The 3D printed substrate accepts additional surface treatments from the studio's own finishing capabilities. Where most providers deliver a finished print, Studio Saint-Pierre treats the embossed output as a prepared ground for further material expression.

SSP's proprietary liquid metal finishes applied directly over the embossed relief. Bronze, copper, brass, iron, or aluminium patina over the dimensional surface. The interaction between structure and metallic finish produces effects that neither technology achieves alone.
Gilding applied by hand to embossed surfaces. The relief catches light at varying angles, producing a depth of reflection that flat gilding cannot. Suited to hospitality feature walls and bespoke residential commissions.
Structural relief printed without colour provides a dimensional ground that is then painted to match the project palette. Concrete effects, oxidised textures, and tonal washes produced through paint over structure.
Every component of the system is designed for indoor safety and environmental accountability. The substrate, inks, and process meet the most demanding interior certification standards.
Every surface is produced to the project specification. The studio designs the pattern, controls the structure, and prints when the project is ready. No catalogue. No minimum run.

The studio produces original artwork from the client brief. Motifs, textures, and geometric structures designed specifically for the project. No stock patterns.
Existing artwork, brand assets, or supplied designs prepared for dimensional printing. File preparation, colour management, and embossing layer design handled by the studio.
Colour, scale, pattern geometry, and relief depth are controlled independently. The printed image and the embossed structure can match, contrast, or operate as separate visual layers.
Studio Saint-Pierre operates within the LookGroup production network. A single project specification can be produced at the node closest to the installation site, reducing lead time, shipping cost, and carbon footprint.
